November saw the official opening of Liverpool 2, Peel Ports Group’s new cutting-edge, deep water container terminal in the Port of Liverpool. The £400 million, 3-year project has delivered one of Europe’s most advanced container terminals with the capacity to accommodate the world’s largest container vessels.
We were thrilled to be involved in the launch day when 300 guests, including MPs, journalists and other dignitaries gathered for the exciting opening event organised by SK Events.
With a high-tech theme running throughout the day, guests were checked in with our smart guest list software and issued with RFID key-fobs. The key-fobs then provided guests with a range of services including using our intelligent RFID cloakroom.
Guests could also tap their key-fobs on our large screen table-finders situated around the venue to find their seats ready for the superb meal provided by Rhubarb and Custard.
Taking technology further guests could also view the exciting launch video via customised Google Cardboard viewers proving a brilliant 360 degrees experience of this amazing terminal.
